Alive on BBC Points West

On 4th December 2017 BBC Points West came to film an Alive intergenerational activity session. We were thrilled to have this opportunity to raise awarness of our work connecting communities with care homes. In the piece we follow children from Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School on a visit to see their friends at Blaise Weston Court, a Hanover Housing Extra Care Estate, where Mears Care provide Care and Support.

The BBC also made this film looking at how we use technology to bridge the generation gap. Watch the pairs having fun giving each other new hair styles using the iPad and then making digital Christmas cards together.  "You don't have to be the same age to be really good friends, it can be any age, that's what I've learnt". Dylan, school child at Our Lady of the Rosary.
