Paint Pals & iPals
Creating connections through art and technology
Our intergenerational projects are all about creating connections in our community, teaching older people new skills and giving children a chance to bring happiness to care home residents.
Due to the great success of our Paint Pals and iPals projects, which have now come to a close, Alive have developed a new intergenerational activity session called Access All Ages. This new format means we can now offer the experience to more care homes and schools. These sessions are even more creative, allowing care settings and schools to meet regularly, and can incorporate any artform in their delivery – anything from painting, music, dance, poetry, iPad work to playing dominoes!
Click the panels to the right to learn more about the projects that inspired our new intergenerational sessions, then visit the Access All Ages page to see how you can get involved.
This was an amazing experience for our residents. It’s instilled conversation, enjoyment and something to look forward to. The residents have benefited from the contact with these young children and inspired them to go on and make art. Activity Coordinator, Stokeleigh Lodge Residential Home, Bristol
Alive and the work they carry out is fantastic, not only are they teaching new skills but they are bringing young people in the home and enabling the two generations to engage positively with one another which is very inspiring to see. Care Home Manager
