We are thrilled to announce that our Lawrence Weston community gardening group is once again open to residents and the local community.

As you can imagine, in these early days, we’re taking things slowly and being very cautious. Rather than operating a drop in as previously, we are booking in members of the community to attend. If you or anyone you know would like to come along we’d love to hear from you. Contact details for Abi Sweet, who runs the project, can be found below.

For the past few years, we have run a weekly community gardening group in the grounds of Blaise Weston Court in Lawrence Weston on a Wednesday afternoon between 1.15-3.30pm. Led by a coordinator with a team of trained volunteers, we have been growing vegetables, fruit and flowers there and shaping green craft activities together. Tea and cake follows from 3 PM.

The drop-in sessions will remain free and accessible to all, with all tools and resources provided.

There is access to toilets, but indoor activity space is currently for residents only at this time as we navigate our way out of Covid.

Please contact the Community Gardens officer on 07557354408 or email communitygardening@aliveactivities.org to find out more/request to be notified when the sessions are open to new members.
