Activities & Sessions Facilitator

Lawrie is a former journalist and has worked in health, care, and the third sector for over 20 years, including 5 years with the NHS in Bristol and the South West. He has volunteered with a huge range of charities, including Citizens Advice, Age UK, Parkinson’s UK, and Refugee Action.

He recently completed a Level 2 Counselling qualification and uses these skills to run fun, engaging and informal sessions with men living with dementia.

His sessions explore common experiences like travel, engineering, and technology in an informal, fun and engaging way.

Alongside his work as a Men’s Clubs facilitator with Alive, he runs a charity specialist content and marketing agency 42group, a fear of flying website, and works as a professional musician and teacher, specialising in double bass.
