Alive’s North Bristol dementia-friendly allotment runs weekly sessions for people living with dementia and their carers throughout the year.

Our groups meet every Monday and Tuesday from March to October, and every Monday from November to February.

Sessions are person-centred, lightly facilitated and flexible: participants can join in with the gardening, relax in the nature area or by the pond, and round off the visit with a well-earned cup of tea. Whatever the weather, we’re set up for it – the site has a summerhouse for drizzly days, shade for sunny ones, wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds, a compost toilet, adapted tools, and plenty of comfy seating.

As our facilitators are first aid trained but not qualified carers, we ask that a partner, relative, or carer attends alongside the primary participant.

To book a first visit or if you have any questions, please contact Guy at 07590 802 774 or email guy@aliveactivities.org.
