In April (it seems like such a long time ago now), as part of the #2.6 challenge, our CEO Isobel and her family took part in a marathon row.  As active members of the Portishead Pilot Gig Rowing Club, they are lucky enough to have an ERG (rowing machine) at home, so it was an obvious challenge for them to do.

“We love rowing, and the ERG had kept us fit in lockdown.  My family wanted to support Alive and take part in the #2.6 challenge, so we decided to row a relay marathon from our garden.  It was good fun, challenging, but we all enjoyed it. It took us 3.5 hours – which was a good time for us.  We were thrilled and couldn’t believe we raised just under £2000 for Alive.  It was incredible to see the support coming in.”

If you want to support Alive please contact the office on 0117 377 4756 to see how you could help raise some much needed funds for us.
