About the Sessions

Connecting with nature and the outdoors not only helps to maintain and enhance our mental health and emotional well-being on a daily basis, but it can also help us to improve the levels of resilience required to adapt to those difficult situations we may experience throughout our lives, including receiving a diagnosis of and living with the early symptoms associated with a dementia.

A dementia diagnosis can bring many unexpected mental, emotional, and social challenges, both to the person themselves and also to their family and friends. These informal weekly sessions provide the opportunity of meeting others in a similar situation within a supportive and caring outdoor space and to experience how connection with nature and the outdoors can help you and loved ones navigate and adjust to your changing circumstances.

So, do feel free to join us at our Well-being in Nature sessions where a warm and friendly welcome awaits and invites you to:

  • Indulge your senses and relax body and mind
  • Engage in fun and creative nature-based activities
  • Discover and explore new skills and interests
  • Socialise and meet new people
  • Enhance resilience levels to help embrace and manage change
  • Learn different techniques to Improve emotional well-being
  • Restore energy levels and boost your mood
