Memory Connections are weekly community sessions for people living with mild to moderate memory loss.

Join us for activities, socialising and meaningful exercises aimed at promoting mental functioning and overall wellbeing.

Memory Connections supports people with low to moderate dementia to maintain their cognitive ability through stimulating activities and social engagement. Using Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) which is designed to maintain memory skills, build confidence and offer opportunities for socialisation in a supportive environment, MCST is the only non-drug treatment recommended to improve cognition, independence and wellbeing by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)

These weekly two-hour sessions incorporate a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, reminiscence therapy, quizzes, music, and movement, all aimed at promoting mental functioning and overall wellbeing.

After running the service for four years, Memory Connections transferred from Age UK Bristol in March 2025 and Alive are thrilled to continue the legacy of these groups.

From 19 March 2025, we are running two weekly groups:

Wednesdays, 10am – 12pm

Sommerville, Westbury Fields, Cricket Lane, Bristol BS10 6TW

Thursdays, 10am – 12pm

St Peters Church, The Drive, Henleaze BS9 4LD
