Chris has spent much of his career working in the charity sector, most recently as CEO of a dementia charity, where his role focused on fundraising and organisational development. Alongside his professional responsibilities, the experiences that have stayed with him most are the human ones – seeing how simple, creative, community-based activities can create space for connection, conversation, and dignity in later life.
As well as a background in fundraising, Chris brings broader experience in charity governance, financial oversight, risk management, and long-term planning, understanding the importance of strong governance in enabling staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful impact.
Having seen first-hand the power of welcoming, activity-led environments in supporting wellbeing for people affected by dementia, he is keen to contribute his time and experience to organisations that share these values, and is delighted to support Alive as a trustee.
