Alive Gardening Session Facilitator
We are seeking a talented individual to lead gardening activity sessions with older people in care homes, including people living with dementia.
Activities will include horticulture, growing fruit, vegetables and flowers to wildlife/nature-based activities and nature-based crafts. Facilitators will encourage a sense of purpose and achievement, stimulating and facilitating social interaction, engagement and reminiscence within the groups.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a vibrant and innovative charity, and to bring enjoyment and vitality to some of the most vulnerable older people in our communities.
The role will suit someone with a passion for life, who is in touch with their extrovert side and able to connect easily with others. Experience of facilitating groups and working with vulnerable adults is essential.
You will need access to a car and be happy and able to travel around Bristol and the surrounding counties on a regular basis to deliver activity sessions. Variable hours contract for up to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). Hours are not guaranteed.
The rate of pay is £44 per activity session plus mileage. Full training and mentoring will be provided by our expert team.

Social and Therapeutic Gardening Volunteers
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to assist our Horticulture Facilitators.
You will volunteer alongside an expert Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator to help care home residents access all the benefits of taking part in fun activities, whenever possible, outside in the garden.

Fundraising Volunteers – can you help Light up Later life!?
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help our fundraising team at exciting events to raise funds to support older people in care.
For many older people living in care, their later years can be confusing and lonely. Alive brings back that connection to the world, their memories and other people. Alive are the UK’s leading charity enriching the lives of older people in care and training their carers. As a charity, we rely on voluntary donations to deliver our work.
We need volunteers to attend events and support our fundraising activities, who will be enthusiastic about our cause and encourage donations to Alive, often through bucket collections.
You will receive a full briefing before the event and all the materials you need. Events will usually take place on various evenings and weekends.
