Book a Place on a session at Alive’s Community Dementia-Friendly Allotment
Every Monday and Tuesday in summer and every Monday in winter, Alive’s dementia-friendly allotment will be open to older people in the community. While there, participants can attend facilitated gardening sessions and get their hands dirty with like-minded green-fingered people.
The Monday session at the allotment is exclusively for people living with dementia, as well as their carers, a relative or a friend. The Tuesday session is for any older person, either with or without a friend or relative.
The site is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools and lots of comfy seating.
Due to ongoing concerns related to covid, we are working to a reduced number of participants to ensure we can keep people adequately distanced.
Note that in the booking form below “Capacity” refers to the number of spaces taken vs the total number available. So 1/4 means one person is booked on already out of a total number of 4 participants. If the session is fully booked it will say 4/4. Under “Care Home” put the participant’s name or leave it blank.
