Book a Place on a session at Alive’s Community Dementia-Friendly Allotment

Every Monday and Tuesday in summer and every Tuesday in winter, Alive’s dementia-friendly allotment will be open to older people in the community. While there, participants can attend facilitated gardening sessions and get their hands dirty with like-minded green-fingered people.

Both the Monday and Tuesday afternoon sessions are for people living with dementia and their carers, a relative or a friend. We also have a session on Tuesday morning for residents of S Glos. Book a place for that session here.

The site is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools and lots of comfy seating.

Note that in the booking form below “Capacity” refers to the number of spaces taken vs the total number available. So 1/6 means one person is booked already out of a total number of 6 participants. If the session is fully booked, it will say 6/6. Under “Care Home”, put the participant’s name or leave it blank.

Please contact the Community Gardens officer at 07423719088 or email communitygardening@aliveactivities.org if you need more info.

If you’re a care home looking to come to the allotment, please see this page to find out what we can offer you.
