In partnership with the Wellspring Settlement, Alive run an inclusive community garden project based in the centre of Bristol in Barton Hill.

These free, weekly sessions invite people from the community to take part in gardening and green crafts together.

About the Group

The weekly community gardening group is held on the grounds of the Wellspring Settlement, Barton Hill, every Thursday afternoon between 1.30-3.30 pm. The group is led by a facilitator, with a team of trained volunteers. Together we grow vegetables, fruit and flowers and shape green craft activities together. We then enjoy tea and cake at the end of the session.

The sessions are free and accessible, with all tools and resources provided. There is access to toilets and indoor space for seated gardening and green craft activities.

The session works as a drop-in, so feel free to come by any Thursday to find out more.

You can also contact the Community Gardens officer on 07379498764 or email communitygardening@aliveactivities.org if you have any questions.

Alive are proud to offer a variety of therapeutic horticulture opportunities across our community. Find more about our other gardens and projects here.
