Guy first became involved with Alive as a volunteer at our Growing Support gardening sessions and soon became passionate and enthusiastic about our work. So when a vacancy as a GS facilitator with Alive came up, it made perfect sense for him to apply for it – and he has been involved with our organisation ever since.
A keen allotmenteer with a strong sense of the power of community, Guy was excited to be involved with setting up Bristol’s first dementia-friendly allotment in Brentry for Alive. He now manages the site and delivers dementia-friendly gardening, green craft and nature connection sessions there.
Guy also leads our hops in care homes project, The Hoppiness Project, which is a collaboration with the University of Bristol.
When not at the allotment, Guy can be found practising handstands, enjoying live music and helping organise Bristol Seed Swap and Bristol Hops Collective.
