What you can expect from us …
- An introduction to our organisation and your role, including our expectations, in writing
- Ongoing support and feedback from the Volunteer Coordinator and session facilitators
- A safe working environment where you are being treated fairly and as part of the team
- Timely reimbursement of agreed expenses – up to £10/volunteering day
- Relevant training and further learning materials
- Confidential data management
- Information about our policies and procedures
- Insurance that covers your volunteering activities
- The opportunity to learn new skills
- The opportunity to connect with other volunteers
- A reference, if desired
What we expect from you …
- You have the desire to support and engage with people with complex needs
- You have good communication skills and let us know if you are unable to attend a session
- You are reliable and punctual
- You adhere to our Health & Safety guidelines
- You take part in our training sessions and do an enhanced DBS check if required
