Intergenerational friendships benefit us all throughout all the ages and stages of our lives.

They can bring joy, laughter, comfort and learning. Alive believe that all older people should have access to building new intergenerational friendships and through the STANd programme we will be working to develop new intergenerational work across Bristol and North Somerset and work with community partners to develop best practice that can be shared nationally.

The STANd programme is funded by The National Lottery and will run from 2024 – 2027. The programme will see the development of a series of pilot projects in care homes and communities linking older and younger people, new training models in intergenerational delivery and project planning, and the founding of Bristol and North Somerset Intergenerational Linking Networks.
