Office & Services Manager
Having previously worked for the charity, Carmel returned to the Alive team in 2023 supporting our North Somerset Dementia Meeting Centre before taking on the role of Office & Services Manager in 2024.
A strong advocate for the healing powers of nature and gardening, Carmel holds a Thrive Award in Social & Therapeutic Horticulture.
She spent two years volunteering at Alive’s Community Gardening project in Lawrence Weston before then progressing to delivering STH sessions for the group herself.
With a long career in administration, office management and customer service, Carmel also has a passion for engaging with people living with dementia, having been a carer for a close relative for 12 years.
In her spare time, Carmel volunteers for a Pocket Park Community Garden in South Bristol and enjoys gardening, crafting, being in nature and by the coast, reading, theatre and live music.
