One Good Turn – Let It Snow

It was snowing in the Alive offices during December, as our ‘Let it Snow’ campaign began to spread some festive joy across the ages!

The campaign involved care home residents and young people creating paper snowflakes to exchange with each other, with a message of kindness or positivity written in the middle.

Each snowflake was decorated uniquely (as snowflakes should be!) and we saw some beautiful designs and messages.

A total of 18 care homes took part across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, exchanging snowflakes with local schools, youth groups, Home Education groups and family volunteers. A total of 973 young people got involved in the activity – the largest engagement activity between young people and care homes we have ever run.

We would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who got involved in this fantastic campaign. We hope you enjoyed making and receiving the snowflakes as much as we did seeing them arrive in our office!
