Every Monday and Tuesday during the warmer months (March to October) and every Monday during the colder months (November to February), Alive’s dementia-friendly allotment will be running sessions for people living with dementia and their carers.
While at the allotment, participants can join facilitated gardening sessions, relax in the nature area and enjoy a well-deserved cup of tea before heading home.
The site is fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds, and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools, and lots of comfy seating.
Our facilitators are first aid trained, but are not trained carers. For this reason, we ask that a partner, relative or carer attends with the primary attendee.
To book a first visit or if you have any questions, please contact Guy at 07590802774 or email guy@aliveactivities.org.
