Book a Place on a session at Alive’s Community Dementia-Friendly Allotment in Brentry, North Bristol.
Every Monday and Tuesday in the warmer months (March – October) and every Monday in the colder months (November – February), Alive’s dementia-friendly allotment will be open to older people in the community. While there, participants can attend facilitated gardening sessions, get their hands dirty with like-minded green-fingered people and enjoy a well-earned cuppa before going home.
Both the Monday and Tuesday afternoon sessions are for people living with dementia and someone in their support network who can attend with them.
The site is fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds, and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools, and lots of comfy seating.
Note that in the booking form below, “Capacity” refers to the number of spaces taken vs the total number available. So 1/6 means one person is booked already out of a total number of 6 participants. If the session is fully booked, it will say 6/6. Put the participant’s name under “Care Home” or leave it blank.
Please get in touch with the Community Gardens officer at 07423719088 or email communitygardening@aliveactivities.org if you need more info.
If you’re a care home looking to visit the allotment, please see this page.
