Alive’s Young onset dementia group at Brentry allotment

In spring, Alive will be hosting a taster session at our dementia-friendly allotment in Brentry, North Bristol, for people with a diagnosis of young-onset dementia. This will hopefully become a permanent fixture.

The site is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools and lots of comfy seating.

The session will be running from 1.30 to 3.30 on 1st April 2022.

Note that in the booking form below “Capacity” refers to the number of spaces taken vs the total number available. So 1/4 means one person is booked on already out of a total number of 4 participants. If the session is fully booked it will say 4/4. Under “Care Home” put the participant’s name or leave it blank.

Please contact the Community Gardens manager on 07423719088 or email communitygardening@aliveactivities.org to find out more and/or to be notified when booking for the session is open.

If you’re interested in volunteering to support these sessions please contact our volunteer coordinator on volunteer@aliveactivities.org or phone 07519 534 577.
