Wishing Washing Line™ West

We had a lovely start to the new year when we finally saw the wish of Marion – to sing with Elvis – come true.

Stuart Horne, a ‘professional Elvis impersonator’ from South Devon, came to the rescue after a previous Elvis had to cancel. A real charmer with the ladies at the care home, Stuart’s performance at Innisfree Care Home was electrifying. 

Marion wanted all the residents to join in the fun, and according to Deputy Manager Zoe, everyone was singing along, dancing or tapping their feet.

“It was one of the most incredible nights we have had in ages! We have a lady here on respite, who has really struggled with coming to terms with being in our care home, but tonight she told us, “I’ve changed my mind – I like it here.” Thank you so much for finding Stuart.”

It’s incredibly heartening to see the difference we are making to care home residents, and we can’t wait to put more smiles on faces this year!
