Book a Place on a session at Alive’s Community Dementia-Friendly Allotment for people living in South Gloucestershire.

Every Tuesday morning from March to October, Alive’s dementia-friendly allotment will be open to older people in the community living with dementia who are residents in South Glos. While at the allotment, participants can enjoy facilitated gardening sessions and get their hands dirty with like-minded green-fingered people.

The session at the allotment is exclusively for people living with dementia, as well as their carers, a relative or a friend. Participants must be residents of South Gloucestershire. We have two other sessions open to anyone on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Please book a place on them here.

The site is fully accessible with wheelchair-friendly paths, raised beds and a compost toilet. We also have a social shed for drizzly days, shade for when the sun’s shining, adapted tools and lots of comfy seating.

Note that in the booking form below, “Capacity” refers to the number of spaces taken vs the total number available. So 1/6 means one person is booked already out of a total number of 6 participants. If the session is fully booked, it will say 6/6. Under “Care Home” put the participant’s name or leave it blank.

Please get in touch the Allotment project leader, Guy, at 07423719088 or email guy@aliveactivities.org if you need more info.

If you’re a care home looking to come to the allotment, please see this page to find out what we can offer you.
